John Bevere is an American minister and best-selling author. He is the co-founder of Messenger International, a non-profit that translates and distributes Christian teaching into over languages.^[1].

Early life and education

John was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He spent part of his childhood living overseas in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, before his family settled down in Whitehall, Michigan. He attended Purdue University on a tennis scholarship, where he played doubles^[2]. He graduated from Purdue with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. While attending college, he met his wife Lisa Bevere (Toscano) in June of They were married on October 2, After graduating, John took an engineering job with Rockwell International.^[3]
