Jihae Kim (born February 7, ),[1] better known by the mononymJihae, is a South Korean singer, actress and model.[2][3] She debuted as a singer in and has since released four full-length albums. As an actress, she has appeared in the miniseries Mars (), the film Mortal Engines (), the Netflix series Altered Carbon[4][2] and the HBO series Succession.[5]
Early life
Jihae was born in Seoul, South Korea.[3] As the daughter of a diplomat, she grew up in Nigeria and Sweden. She attended Emory University, where she graduated with a degree in political science.[6]
Career
Jihae began her career as a model, appearing in ads for the women's clothing brand Eileen Fisher.[6]
